Step by Step: Impetus base with river

We will create the river once the rest of the base is completed. Since water effect is transparent, you should give some detail to the river bed, or it will look too simple.

This is the water effect product I´ve used:

It´s not liquid, so it can be molded lightly with a wet brush to give some texture to the surface.

Once dry (about 24h) is transparent. However, if we make a very thick coat will take a lot more time to dry. The best thing is to make several layers, spread a layer and wait for it to dry, spread another and wait again. Moreover, as the product shrinks once dried, it is preferable to make two or three coats in order to get an adequate volume.

------------
Make the splashing adding more water effects and extending it up gently with a wet brush. Once dried you can add more and repeat the process if you want more volume or length.

------------
Before I spread the final coat I do a wash with a very diluted mixture of blue and green paint. The water will still being transparent, but with "nuances". It is very important to spread the last layer of water effects once the paint has completely dried.

------------
When all the water effects has dried, the last step is to dry brush white on the splashes and some parts of river.

Y ya está listo! Un proceso largo, pero sencillo.

And you're ready! A long, but simple, process.

Nos vemos!

  2. Gran tutorial!
